"Everyone had an incredible time and the most memorable was the volunteer work. All of the students said that it was a life changing experience and they appreciated being involved with the culture of Jamaica. They realize what life is like outside the resort complex.
We absolutely want to assist again next year" -Patti Watson
FLEMING COLLEGE - CANADA - VISITS MONTEGO BAY AND HANOVER CHARITIES
9 students under the motivation and guidance of Patti Watson (Coordinator, Tourism & Travel & Events Management) visit Montego Bay for a break and decide to combine this trip with community service.
Back home they raised over US$ 700.00 and spent two days of volunteer service with Hanover Charities. One day was spent cooking in the LUCEA MINISTERS FRATERNAL SOUP KITCHEN and the other spending time with basic school students at the HANOVER PARISH LIBRARY. They also brought stationary equipment, games etc to Jamaica and presented those to schools during their visit.
