In 2021, Hanover Charities distributed over 700 tablets with keyboards, preloaded with educational programs, benefiting students across 25 schools. This collaborative effort with Levelfield JA ensured the procurement of devices with safety features, involving a total project expenditure of USD $131,538.
In collaboration with Books4Kids Jamaica, this initiative annually helps around 1200 Basic & Infant School students in Hanover and parts of Westmoreland, providing Brain Quest workbooks, reading books and necessary school supplies.
At Hanover Charities, our resolute commitment to education is reflected in our contribution of over $500,000USD in scholarships over the past five years alone. These scholarships represent our investment in shaping the Jamaica we aspire to witness.
Hanover Charities actively supports local basic, primary and high schools through diverse initiatives. We aid in feeding programs by purchasing stoves and equipment, funding supplies for cooking and establishing vegetable gardens for educational and nutritional purposes. We also furnish schools with essential items like library shelves, internet services, and classroom furniture.
