Relief Supplies: We have already rushed more than $500,000 in critical supplies to Jamaica in eight containers—but the need is still
there. Communities cannot rebuild without materials, and building supplies are now our most urgent priority. What’s more, Hanover Charities has become the central lifeline for international partners trying to get aid into Jamaica. We are coordinating shipments of wheelchairs and medical supplies, clothing, nonperishable foods.

Containers: We purchase every 40-foot container ourselves—so it can remain on the island as school storage, a community hub, or even a temporary shelter. But we are facing immediate expenses for the purchase, freight, government and port fees, and delivery to our distribution center—and then onward to the communities in crisis.

Community Services: Thanks to donor support, the Hopewell Sports and Community Center has become a vital hub for relief and restoration. It’s where we are distributing goods from our containers and where families come for essential supplies, hot meals, and a safe place to gather.
Your generosity allows us to prioritize mothers and young children—providing safety, essentials, guidance, and weekly medical clinics, along with mental and spiritual support. Our HSCC kitchen now serves hot meals three times each week, ensuring that our neighbors in need do not go hungry. Citizens who have fallen on very hard times due to the hurricane will be transported free of charge.

On the ground partnership: Grindstone Ministries was in Jamaica in December to repair damaged homes and roofs with plans to return early 2026. With your support, we provided the ground support, enabling them in just 10 days to build two homes, repair four, tarp 12 roofs, distribute 300 tarps, 20,000 pounds of supplies, and 500 water filters.

Schools–Join the Recovery: In coordination with the Ministry of Education, Hanover Charities is launching a targeted program to rebuild our local schools. Fifty percent of the schools sustained major damage, with the remaining facilities suffering minor to moderate impact.
